Richard Coleman, Keynote speaker
Richard is an ordained Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. He is married to Pastor Mary Elaine Galloway Coleman. They have three daughters and 10 grandchildren. Richard currently serves as Executive Director of the Hope United Community Development Corporation whose mission is to be a catalyst of hope in North Minneapolis, connecting people, organizations, and resources to transform our community for good. Richard is grateful for his education and training through Chicago’s Public Schools, Chicago’s Amundsen/Mayfair College, De Paul University, and Bethel University. Richard is also co-founder, with Mary, of Servant Leaders’ Support, Inc., and serves as an Associate Minister at Wayman A.M.E. Church. He has served on the board of directors for the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches for 22 years and serves the boards of the R3 Collaborative, the Minnesota Prayer Breakfast, Global Horizons, Inc., and Transform MN. He is the recipient of numerous honors including the Honorary Chairmanship of the 2004 Luis Palau Twin Cities Festival, and the Bethel Seminary Community Leadership Award.
Charmain Runes, Musician
Charmaine is a junior at Macalester College, currently working towards a BA in Economics. While she is ethnically Filipino, she was born and raised in the United Arab Emirates, which she regards as home. Since her freshman year, Charmaine has been involved with Macalester Christian Fellowship (MCF), a chapter of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Some of her responsibilities MCF include directing music ministry, coordinating evangelism training, and leading a small group. She has a passion for sharing the gospel, and helping others enjoy their “new creation” identity. In her spare time, Charmaine enjoys writing poetry, learning languages, and traveling all over the world.
Mike Palmer, Musician
Mike is a Database Administrator/Team Lead for the State of Minnesota, Dept. of Human Services. He also is the primary worship director at Living Hope Christian Center in Pine City, MN. He has a B.S. Degree in Industrial Technology with a Minor in Product Development from U.W. Stout. Among his favorite activities are writing songs and performing on the piano and guitar as often as possible.
Kirsten King, Emcee
Kirsten is Youth and Family Ministries Assistant at First Evangelical Free Church in Maplewood. She is a public speaker at many youth and women’s retreats, camps, and conferences and is a gifted facilitator and trainer. After living in the Chicago and Willmar areas, she and her husband, Kenny, are thrilled to be in St. Paul, where they have lived the past two and a half years. Kirsten graduated from the University of Northwestern with a B.S. degree in Music Education.
